Still having a great time! The weather has been perfect and we are all looking sunkissed. Brian arrived on Sunday so welcome to the pics Daddy. Also, I am proud to present the boat!! Papa got a boat for fishing, and crabbing, and riding in the marsh and the ocean, and trips to Little Tybee, and more!! Many of my own childhood memories at Tybee include a boat so I can’t wait to experience it all again through my children’s eyes.
The boat has been named Gah…denia (prounounced like gardenia withouth the ‘r’). And yes there’s a story behind that. My grandmother, Mum, was an amazing woman. She was a gentle soul and hardly ever lost her temper or got really angry. BUT…when she did, she always said, “Well, gah…denia.” It used to make people real nervous when it first came out of her mouth. With a nice Southern drawl she’d drag out the gaaaaah, and we were all waiting for a naughty word (as Emma Jane calls bad words), but then she’d ad the DENIA. And we’d all breathe a sigh of relief. So, it is fun to name the boat after her and we know she’s out there riding around with us.
